Disasters are often one of the most sudden and unexpected challenges a family can go through. But if you are prepared the stress associated with the issues that arise can be somewhat alleviated.

The K.A.P.S. Disaster Hub seeks to provide key Knowledge, Attitude, Preparedness, and Skills to community organizations as well as individuals served by those organizations.

We define K.A.P.S as:

  • Knowledge: Understanding disasters and how to react to each one
  • Attitude: A change in the way we think or perceive storms to be
  • Preparedness: How to adequately prepare for a disaster
  • Skill: Practicing what you know
